so the italians won the world cup, and they deserved every bit of glory they were awarded with on the pitch today morning. was REALLY GLAD i decided to catch the match hoho. it was undoubtedly one of the finest matches of the competition

but ZIDANE OH ZIDANE you weren't supposed to leave the international stage like that. what were you thinking with that head butt into Materazzi's chest? if you'd stayed on then maybe it'd have been a les bleus' victory. i guess when legends make mistakes the penalties are twice as harsh.

still it was comforting to know he's the golden ball winner. i'll miss seeing him on the pitch :(
