haloes and little things

i'm beginning to feel useful at work! no more vegetating for 9 hours straight with a thick stack of notes i'm doing quotations now woohoo. irene, who's handing down her accounts to me taught me a gazillion things in one day and frankly speaking i'm a little apprehensive about my new responsibilities of taking over the orders and enquiries of three local clients. and i tremble when i answer the phone because i see the other customer service officers answer the queries at such breakneck speed while i slowly key in material codes and get confused between when i have to press enter and when i have to hit f8 to process thereafter. gaagg.

and i got to catch up with the team and the girls from school over the last two days. picnic with the team at the vivo sky garden was funny, we were all in dressy mode and... sitting on the floor for our potluck party when we looked like we belonged in an 'english rose gaaaaarden' haha but i loved the catching up session! am going to miss them sorely when uni term approaches and some of them fly off :(

dinner over at shiqi's yesterday in a very belated christmas celebration after work! hahaha we lauded shiqi's attempt at cooking and lu's Very Important Contribution to a Successful Dinner-- watching the chicken while it cooked. chicken watch chicken. other than the pretty good food we had pretty good convo topics. like devising innovative new uses for the classic Chopper when faced with bullying boys and how toady is a hotly sought after boyfriend. heh heh! i'm sorry i couldn't stay over girls aaaaaaaahhhhh. then i had a grand send-off in a taxi the driver couldn't stop expressing his amusement when he saw 8 people flagging a cab for 1 person by the roadside heh

holidays all the way until after the new year, yay! but ys is at a chalet pffft.

that said, i really don't want this year to pass. above all other things, that'd mean an official goodbye to ip. haven't made a proper conclusion to my 4 great years here in the company of only the best mix of people you can ever come across, when school officially ended. in all optimism i do hope we still get to see one another around, but knowing that everyone's embarking on their own path to all over the world exactly how easy is that going to be, really? speaking of leaving, varun jst left for india yesterday and he might not be back in sg again.



2007 has taught me so much, given me so much to be thankful for, and so much to reminisce about. i've made the best friends and strengthened so many relationships than i could ever ask for, both with people who've been there right from the start of 4 long years and many others who've come into the picture along the way, and found the perfect reason to be deliriously happy when i wake up every morning (: as much as i complain all the time i DO love my life now, with the combi mates, the girlfriends, the team and the boyfriend in the picture. they're pretty much the reason why Alevel stress had never really hit me full on, and the precise reasons why i'm happy nearly almost everyday. i can only hope 2008 treats me better, but it's gonna be hard to beat all that has accumulated in this year alone. the next time i'm going to post will probably be when the new year has passed (COUNTDOWN PARTY AT VIVO!), so here's an official goodbye to one of the best years in my life, happy new year everyone!
