i am guilty of spending the most money WHILE not earning any in the meantime. like hello even my sister has an income source, albeit only periodically. to think i went there not having anything in mind to buy.
trip was pretty much uneventful. the way up can be pretty much summarised as The Roadtrip of Severe Exasperation given my mum's abominable inability to use the walkie talkie.
mum: -presses button- hello? HELLO? hello? (all this while not letting go of the button)
everyone else: IT'S NOT A PHONE, RELEASEEEEEE THEEEEEE BUTTOOOOON!
KL was..unchanged. still dusty, the clothes were still the same, and people still queued for toilets the same way. the real shopping was at one utama and the curve, which was wayyyy out of the way, in petaling jaya. while shuttling between the 2 malls i encountered this cab infested with ants, thus the horrible rash on my back RAHHHHH.
travelled to genting on the third day, we got lost because of my dad's insistence on following the way he was familiar with, which brought us to a brokien highway bridge because of road construction. waste of petrol and time brrr. but all was well again when he FINALLY decided to make use of his GPS, which, in my opinion, was the perfectly logical thing to do from the start. ended up at first world hotel and joined the queue of 8391793871953 people to check in. the stay was rather mundane, except for the weather? and i busted more moolah :(
am UBER glad to be back in sg!
