saturday's tournament will go down in the annals as the day of many lessons learnt. the most important one of all was to put all your faith in your teammates. ms koh said to play with discipline, coach said to play with our hearts, and we did both.

if anyone had asked me while we made our way down to pioneer sec to evaluate our chances of winning, i'd have said a win over any of the two teams we were playing would be a bonus, and that we'd just not expect anything and go in to have fun. when we won our first match against nyp i was elated, not because of the win but because it didn't come by luck, and that we'd fought hard and well to earn the honour, and it made me believe that we could push on and do equally well, if not better, for the subsequent matches.

when we played rp next i didn't go in with winning in my mind. the moment we stepped onto the pitch and faced the team that played us silly in our last friendly all notion of fear disappeared and i guess all of us only had one thing in mind- to show them that we too, knew how to play contact. and that was probably the best game we've ever played, all i remember was us hitting the opponents one after another, giving all we've got to deny them the chance to try. and when we beat them 2 tries to run i was bursting with crazy pride :)))))

was disappointed when we didn't manage to make it past the cup semis with sp, but inside i knew we'd played bigger than we ever were. we might not have remembered all that coach taught us, but we were strong and committed to our roles in the team. thank you team2: sam, lihui, ghis, caslyn, ruobin, daomin, joyce, xueli and angela, for being wonderful pillars of support and for staying strong, and for bearing with the times i couldn't stay the full 10 minutes. we may be lesser experienced, smaller built and not as fast as our opponents, but our spirit and drive more than made up for it! <33333

and team 1, watching you guys play, tackle, breakthrough and score was an incredible source of inspiration for us all! well deserved plate champions (: and HELLYEAHHH we showed that there wasn't a team that was infallible, as zee puts it: we beat the gods!
